2BUB prepares for debut album |
Jan 24, 2010  2010 will be the year that 2BUB releases their debut album. It will contain 12 brand new songs and is due in december 2010. Last friday we moved our gear to the studio for several pre production sessions in the next couple of weeks. We are all very excited and can't wait to do the actual recordings somewhere around the summer. This is also the reason that we are laying low for a while (gig wise). But there is always room for one or two shows. We'll keep you updated! |

On Tuesday last we were interviewed by Jimmy Tigges for his weekly column "Delftse Toeren" that appears every thursday in the AD Haagsche Courant. In his columns he focusses on the story behind a single from local known and unknown musicians. Earlier these articles were bundled in his book "Delftse Toeren". "Nacht van de fooi" a success! |
| On June the 2nd the event Nacht van de Fooi was held. And ... it was a big success! Nation wide the horeca collected € 55.000 through received tips. This amount was then doubled to €110.000 by charity organisation Impulsis. The money will go to 8 small charity projects in the Third World. The event was held in the following cities: Groningen, Utrecht, Nijmegen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda and Delft. We adopted the charity project Clean Water Now. They will realise safe drinking water for a small population in Brazil. Volunteers collected money for this project during our performance at Fooipop (Delft). We are very proud to have been a participant in this charity event. And we thank all people who supported it! |

 Yesterday 2BUB got airplay on Radio 3B Lokaal. In the program Blackout (21:00 - 23:00), presented by Edwin Koster and Arthur Bone, the songs Run Before and Right Direction were played. In between was a telephone interview with Tjeerd (drummer). Also plans were made for 2BUB to come to the station for a live special somewhere in the near future. |

Jurren Mekking joins 2BUB |

We found a new bass player! After a selection period of three months Jurren Mekking came out best. His enthusiasm, skills, experience and creativity made him the best candidate. We already started rehearsing and expect to be back at full strength around February 2007. |
